In general, you want about 1 or 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per six ounces of water. Your preferences may vary, so feel free to try different amounts. Once you get a good ratio, stick with it. When you're doing so, run a few tests on the "cup lines" on your brewer to see how they actually stack up

1: Drop in the filter.

2: Weigh the ground coffee into the filter*

3: Weigh the water and pour it into the reservoir*

4: Slide the basket onto the rails.

5: Place the carafe below, and press the button to start 6: Enjoy!

*We suggest you brew with a 1:20 ratio (20 grams of water for every 1 gram of coffee). This is more than we usually recommend but the brewer actually loses a lot of that water you put in the reservoir to steam.)

Pure Bean Roasters started in 2013 and we have continued perfecting our craft and expanding our knowledge every day. We have traveled the world to coffee plantations, spoken with farmers and exporters, and spent time getting hands on knowledge of coffee from dirt to cup.

Our method of air roasting is different from most roasters. We roast in small batch quantities so that we can insure the best quality and the most even roast. Air roasting is also known for producing coffee that is extremely smooth, never bitter, and low in acid.

Our wholesale customers range from Maine to Hawaii and include retail stores and coffee shops. From single origins to blends (standard and custom), we are here to serve. If you are interested in talking to us about a wholesale account and getting a sample of our coffee, send an email to:
